Invisalign FAQ

What is Invisalign?

Invisalign is the virtually invisible way to straighten your teeth and give you the smile you’ve always dreamt of.

What’s the minimum age of a patient that an Orthodontist can treat with Invisalign?

Because of our expertise, we can begin Invisalign treatments as early as 7-years-old.

How many people choose Invisalign?

Right now over 3 million patients worldwide have been treated with Invisalign. And Dr. Casagrande, Dr. Barcoma, Dr. Robb and Dr. Bibona have provided more Invisalign treatment in the state of Virginia and DC Metro Area than any other Invisalign provider.

What foods should I avoid when wearing Invisalign?

Since Invisalign is removable, you are able to enjoy all of your favorite food during treatment. Although, only water is recommended if you are wearing your aligners.

Can I chew gum?

Chewing gum while you’re wearing your aligners is not advised. But feel free to pop them out to enjoy a piece of gum or snack. Just don’t forget to brush before you put them back in.

How often do I need to come into the office?

We ask to see you back in The Center every 8 – 12 weeks. Your satisfaction is our number one goal, and each appointment allows us to follow your progression and make any necessary adjustments.

If I had previous Orthodontic treatment, and my teeth have shifted – can Invisalign fix it?

Absolutely! A number of our adult Invisalign patients have had previous treatment, often during their youth.
